Woohoo, I’m finally finished with my Kakashi painting!!
This took me a very long time to create, but in my opinion, it was well worth it! I definitely learned a lot while working on this, and I think I have some even better ideas as to how I’ll be working on future character paintings.
In this piece, I tried to experiment with some photo manipulation techniques, such as applying textures to Kakashi’s mask, head band, and his jacket. If you notice, though, the photo textures I’m using on Kakashi are simply pushing what has already been painted underneath. I actually didn’t apply those textures till I was nearing the end of the rendering process. However, the background, I did something I’ve never actually done before, and is something that I don’t intend to do very much, and that is to use only photos…. granted, it was not my original idea to only use photographs, but when I started to play with arranging the photos to create a forest/woods styled background, and adjusting the lighting of the photos, I really liked how Kakashi seemed to fit nicely with the overall scene. I did try to do some painting work, and adjusting the colors of the background, but in the end, I simply decided to just paint in the overall lighting for the scene, and to mute the colors of the bg quite a bit. In the end, I got, in my opinion, a fairly interesting picture.
In all, I believe that this painting took me about 8-10 hours to create.
I hope that you guys like how this piece turned out, and thank you so much for checking out my work! ^^
Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity the last couple of days, been a bit busy lately. I’m good now, and I have a new painting that I’ve been working on! Not sure how many of you have ever watched Naruto before, and I admit, I’m not a huge anime fan, but Naruto is by far my most favorite anime of all time! 😀
Since I’ve been focusing lately on drawing human anatomy, and so far I’ve only covered how to draw the face, I thought that it would be fun to take one of my favorite characters from Naruto, Kakashi, and try to draw and paint him as realistically as I can.
Now, this piece isn’t finished yet, but I thought that this would be a good point to stop and show you all what I’ve been working on. I’ve had a lot of fun with this piece so far, and I’m very excited to see how the end result will turn out when everything is all finished! 🙂
I hope that you guys like how this piece is looking so far, and as always, thanks so much for checking out my work. And remember, if you like what you see, definitely be sure to subscribe to my website, and to follow me on social media where you will be updated on all of my new art projects and finished pieces! Thanks again, and I hope you all have a wonderful day! 😀
Hey there guys, so, I’m starting to add in some color and detail to the drawing I did earlier. From here on out, I will continuously be refining the image until I achieve the look I want.
Hope you like the process so far!
Working on a series of art pieces where I will be taking iconic cartoons/animation characters and creating them as semi-realistic characters. The first character that I’m working on, is, believe it or not, something that I’ve had the idea for for some time, and that is Cinderella. Not sure why I wanted to do a princess, but, why the heck not. It’s going to be a fun series, and I seriously look forward to working on it! 🙂
Hope you like the sketch that I’ve made of Cinderella so far, and I look forward to showing you all the next update of this painting! ^^
What’s up guys, so I have just finished my Black Cat painting! This was a fun, yet very challenging piece to work on, especially towards the end. I didn’t want to tighten the image up a whole lot, I really like having a looser style to my work, sort of gives it a nice traditional/rough look to it. ^^
I hope that you guys like how this piece has turned out, and thank you so much for checking out my work! 🙂
Okay, so after doing a ton of studies of drawing the human figure, I’ve decided to give this a go, a painting of my favorite Marvel kitty cat, Black Cat!! 😀
This has been a lot of fun to draw so far, and since I’ve been getting a better idea of how to draw anatomy, isn’t taking me as long as it normally would. Granted, I’m still trying to pay critical attention to proportions, and that everything is reading correctly, but this is definitely a lot easier than it use to be. ^^
I hope that you guys like this WIP, and by the way, I totally intend to color this, and I’ve learned a new technique for adding color that I’m excited to share with you at some point! 🙂
Here is a video of a Venom speed paint that I just created. I was using a reference photo for this piece, and unfortunately I am not sure who is the rightful owner, because I would gladly give them credit for the original image that I used for my reference.
Here’s the video down below, I hope you guys like it, and remember, if you want to check out more work from me, be sure to follow me on YouTube, Facebook, and Deviantart!
