Naruto|Kakashi Painting

Hey guys, sorry for the inactivity the last couple of days, been a bit busy lately. I’m good now, and I have a new painting that I’ve been working on! Not sure how many of you have ever watched Naruto before, and I admit, I’m not a huge anime fan, but Naruto is by far my most favorite anime of all time! 😀

Since I’ve been focusing lately on drawing human anatomy, and so far I’ve only covered how to draw the face, I thought that it would be fun to take one of my favorite characters from Naruto, Kakashi, and try to draw and paint him as realistically as I can.

Now, this piece isn’t finished yet, but I thought that this would be a good point to stop and show you all what I’ve been working on. I’ve had a lot of fun with this piece so far, and I’m very excited to see how the end result will turn out when everything is all finished! 🙂

Cinderella Drawing|New Art Series

Working on a series of art pieces where I will be taking iconic cartoons/animation characters and creating them as semi-realistic characters. The first character that I’m working on, is, believe it or not, something that I’ve had the idea for for some time, and that is Cinderella. Not sure why I wanted to do a princess, but, why the heck not. It’s going to be a fun series, and I seriously look forward to working on it! 🙂

Hope you like the sketch that I’ve made of Cinderella so far, and I look forward to showing you all the next update of this painting! ^^

First Art Commission!

So, about a week or so ago, I received my very first art commission! I was very nervous to accept it, much less, start the initial drawing.

Once I had accepted the payment for the painting, I immediately got to work on it. I was careful not to rush it, or try to speed through it in any way. I wanted to ensure that I put in all the effort I could into making it into a great painting.

The commission I was given was to create a painting from a portrait of this neat lady, Angie, and her best friend, whom she received not too long ago, Abe. I really liked this idea, and thought that it would be a fun piece to work on. Though this painting was a lot of fun to create, it was also very challenging, as I have never made a piece with an animal and a person in the same canvas. After some time trying different ideas and techniques, I believe I managed to pull it off pretty well.

I made sure to continuously show my client updates when I finished each stage, that way she knew exactly what she was getting, and if there were any aspects of the painting she wanted me to correct. I continued this process till I got to the finished product, and once I showed it to her, she said that she really liked it, which was absolute music to my ears!

Now, the next step in this commission is to finally go and get it printed!! I am very excited to see how this painting will look in a physical copy. I will definitely show you guys how the print looks in the next post, so be sure to stay tuned in for that!

So, that’s all that I have for now. I really hope that you guys like how this painting turned out, and how the print will turn out. Thank you everyone for taking the time to read this post, and if you like what you’ve read, and if you enjoy my art, which you can check out in my gallery, definitely be sure to subscribe if you haven’t already. I love to create new art for you guys to enjoy, and to hear what you think!

Till next time, I hope you all have a great and wonderful weekend!!Abe and Angie Commission Painting.jpg

Getting Art Prints Made!

Hey what’s up everyone, I hope you are all having a great weekend so far! 🙂

I have some exciting news to share with you guys, that I hope you guys will enjoy. I’ve finally started to seriously get into getting prints made of my artwork, and just last week I had two of my art pieces printed out in a 16×20 matte art prints. I also had those art prints put into some frames so I could get them mounted on my wall in my bedroom.

I’m very pleased with how well the prints turned out, and I’m stoked at how great they look when you frame them.

I’m thinking about the possibility of opening up my own personal shop, and getting a professional photographer to take some photos of my prints with/without the frame, that way you guys know exactly what to expect if you ever decide to get one of my prints for yourselves, or for a friend or family member.

Oh, and since I’m not a professional photographer, I hope that you will please pardon the picture quality of me taking some pictures of two of the art prints I had done, but I wanted to at least give you guys an idea of how these prints actually turned out.

Hope you guys enjoy!
